Company Policy
Königswarter & Ebell operates integrated management systems in accordance with international standards. These describe the organization and processes in the areas of quality (ISO 9001), environmental protection (ISO 14001), occupational health and safety (ISO 45001), and energy (ISO 50001). These systems are subject to annual review by independent certification bodies as well as internal audits.
We use the management systems and the resulting processes and measures to fulfill our corporate responsibility. The achievement of the objectives and programs defined within the systems, as well as their review, is carried out on the basis of measurable key performance indicators. Where necessary, corrective actions are derived from these indicators.
Our goal: maximum plant safety
We place great importance on the highest possible level of safety in the operation of our facilities, as plant safety helps us ensure the protection of our employees and the neighbors of our site. This includes rigorous inspections of our facilities and regular safety walkthrough in accordance with the statutory requirements of the 12th BImSchV (German Hazardous Incident Ordinance) for process and plant safety, as well as intensive employee training. We are prepared for emergencies, both with and without environmental impact, and can respond rapidly thanks to detailed emergency and hazard response plans, the measures of which are regularly practiced.
Our goal: zero accidents and occupational illnesses
The systematic involvement of our employees in occupational health and safety topics makes a significant contribution to motivation and awareness in this area, and enables us to jointly achieve the goal of reducing or eliminating hazard potential. Occupational health and safety also covers visitors and employees of external companies in order to ensure safe working conditions for all persons active on our premises.
Our goal: zero complaints
We aim to meet our customers’ requirements and to consistently deliver specification-compliant goods at the requested time and in the ordered quantity. All quality-relevant activities – including raw material procurement, production, quality control, shipping, and administrative tasks – are aligned with this goal. The satisfaction of all interested parties is at the heart of everything we do.
Our goal: sustainable environmental protection
We identify the environmental aspects of our activities and strive to continuously reduce environmental impacts and protect the environment in a sustainable manner. This assessment encompasses production, storage, transport, disposal, the use of all resources (e.g., raw materials, energy, and water) and facilities, as well as the results of emissions monitoring.
Our goal: efficient energy use
Out of our responsibility towards people and the environment, we have set ourselves the goal of reconciling profitable production with the avoidance or reduction of energy consumption through improvements in energy performance, wherever this is technically and organizationally feasible and economically viable. In our procurement activities, we prioritize the acquisition of energy-efficient products and services that contribute to improved energy-related performance.
Our goal: climate protection & sustainability
We make an active contribution to environmental and climate protection through responsible and efficient use of our material and energy resources. With ambitious targets, we are reducing our CO₂ emissions and thereby contributing to a livable future. We integrate sustainability into our business activities and engage with topics and aspects that are particularly relevant to us and our stakeholders. In addition to our environmental responsibility, we also aim to fulfill our social responsibility within society in line with our objectives. For this reason, we strive to create added value at the social, ecological, and economic level.
